For the past few months I've been going on 20-30 mile bike rides in the morning several times per week before work. At about the 7 mile mark I noticed that a homeless dude has set up camp (tent/chairs/bucket etc.) deeper into the bushes by a lake about 30' from a main road that has a lot of automobile traffic but very little foot traffic so his chances of being spotted are pretty slim. This was roughly 2 months ago and at first I was actually mirin' his set up even though it is South Florida and hot/humid AF it's a decent setup given the circumstances nonetheless. All has been well until recently when I started noticing him littering more and more every time I rode by. The litter is made up of wrappers, boxes and mainly bottles full of piss. Roughly 30 bottles of piss. Not really sure why he would piss in a bottle when he has waterfront property but I won't be the one to find out.

Now my question is, should I aware the city of this litter or continue to mind my own business and let the homie live and piss in peace. I hate to mess with someone that's down on their luck and not bothering me but I also don't want to watch us become another California with chit and piss lining the streets. So wut do?

Well technically it's piss and other litter but that's not really the point. This location is in the nicer part of South Florida and you hardly ever see homeless people or panhandlers. I have absolutely no problem with my boy continuing to thrive in those bushes but the litter just doesn't fit in with the surroundings. If this was downtown Miami or somewhere with a higher homeless population and trash on the streets was expected that would be fine, but that's not the case here. Nom sayin'

homeless and trash and drug addicted street people need punishment. they're rampant over here. but this government is so pooosy. i tried discussing it on my city's reddit but got permanently IP banned. i was like for what.... lol can't discuss homeless people issues

Seems to be a roughly 50/50 split between friends, coworkers and misc. Gonna stick with my gut feeling for the time being at let it ride, hopefully it will resolve itself in due time.
