Best way to make a low burning fire torch?
I take my dog out at night and i usually walk in the dark because the flashlights i have are so bright and oppressive, i feel bad when she looks back and gets blasted by my LED technology. Used to make bonfires all the time but not sure how to make some sort of low-light walking torch so i can have some light and not step in ****. I dont need a brght burner just a little something more like a giant candle?

I have come back to my own post to apparently update you all that just like concrete during the dark ages this appears to be a lost technology. I realized for something more permanent people used to carry around those lanterns that you could hold and would cast a faint firelight. I have head torches and **** for work but the batteries go dead so ****ing fast they suck. And again flashlights are too bright for just chilling. Theres a ton of DIY stationary burning sconces on youtube but nothing of what im looking for. Like a grease burning torch/lantern. Sad!

If you go around with some kind of flaming torch at night you are going to end up looking like a creep or something. I would just go to the army surplus store and get some night vision goggles like a normal person.
