side hustle idea (hot dog cart)

sup misc-
Just bought a house in a smallish town back in June. Has like 90k people in it, small compared to where i came from.
Been doing random side hustles. Reselling security cameras from ebay on craigslist/nextdoor app. Also reselling patio furniture.

I'm working from home and have a ridiculous amount of spare time.

Was kinda thinking about buying a little hot dog stand and setting it up at the park or the recreation center.

Found this cart for $400. My gf has a costco membership. Might be a good way for my daughter to raise a little money with me every other weekend or so..

I know technically i would need a license to serve food, what are the chances of this backfiring without one if i'm an infrequent seller? What am i overlooking misc?

Reps till im out

not sure about the fine details that would go into operating such a gig. i will say 20 years ago in my little town there was this old dude who sold hot dogs/italian ice out of a cart next to the town park and he must have made a fortune. he was revered by the town lol

I don’t think getting a food handlers permit is actually that hard tbh. If you can make it work might be worth

You gonna need a permit for where you want it set up. That particular spot might/not be available.
Been here since 2010. Lost my old account.

Bruh, there is a hotdog cart across from the street from a popular local nightclub.

He's there til the club closes and he makes BANK.

find some good spots and you can do very well. srs

have a lot of condiments/sauce available, bacon wrapped options, etc..

3 hours on a Saturday here and there isn’t gonna yield you a significant income. Way better to get a permit and avoid headaches.

Dude In my town sells hot dogs out of a van. Works right across the street from the police station. Always a atleast one cop in his line whenever I drive by

Great way to teach your little sloot the importance of experiencing many different hot dogs and I’m sure your part time job will drive her to drugs when she is relentlessly bullied in middle school

Say, ΛΉO believers,ΛΊ We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Allah we all submit.
