Alright, Hurricane Delta Aftermath (Photographs)

Compared to Laura, this was nothing. There is some new damage, but most of the debris and damage is still the leftovers from Laura.

It is an absolutely gorgeous morning. I would like some cloud cover to keep the Sun from heating the house as we do not have power, but summer broke, so it won’t get that hot. I’m not even going to put my window unit back in.

The roads are all passable. The morning after Laura, you couldn’t go anywhere because of the downed trees and power lines. The only reason I was able to make the couple block trip from my friends house, where I rode out the storm, to mine was because of some 4x4 off-roading in the Jeep. That is not the case today. Since the roads are so accessible, I do anticipate the power coming back on quicker. I went about three and half weeks in the dark after Laura, I only anticipate a couple days this time. There were still a lot of linemen in the area, and they are ready to go.

This was a solid 2/10 storm. Weak ass. Descriptions for the pictures under the pics.

I live a little north of Lake Charles. The eye went about 25 miles east of me.

Thanks man. This was not that bad. I mean, comparatively.

There are noticeably more. We just have a lot of flies. That is normal out here with all the cattle though.

When you headed home?

Your place made it out alright? Only thing I’m worried about is the flooding. I’ll head back when power is back on because once I get back we have a baby to deliver. My wife was set to be induced Monday but that’s probably getting postponed lol. Due date is the 19th

Oh man, that is a lot going on. Good looking out.

Not a scratch.

All my neighbors are good too. No new damage. (Laura did mess some of them up pretty good).

My gf uncle lost his house last night. But he is the only person I’m tracking so far.
