The media has been fomenting racial discord for years. Once Obama got elected, it totally undermined the leftwing lies about how we're this deeply evil racist country. Rather than give in, the media doubled-down and went full-court press to push the narrative that we're a systemically racist country and that the main reason whitey is wealthy and powerful is because of exploiting minorities and therefore we need to fix that with a massively enlarged government and wealth distribution. Trudeau supported all the protests and also knelt down with the protestors. If it was a Trump like situation there would be way more backlash here.

For me, it's hard to reconcile how united we were as a country post 9/11 and within a span of 19 years, I'm judged by the color of my skin and assumptions are made about me without due cause (and with harmful consequences) and I for one will not kowtow to this "woke" fantasy.
