Is Something Wrong With The World?

Covid aside, does anybody feel like something is just wrong with the world? Not to focus on specific details, but moreso in the sense that there is this energy that something is off, like some chit is about to go down. I've felt this probably for the last 2-3 years with increasing intensity and I'm wondering whether other people feel the same.

Are you saying things are just as usual and that only a young person would think that things are now somehow worse compared to any point in history? I'm well aware of the fact that people cry about degeneracy and downfall since ancient Greece, however that doesn't mean that certain points in history weren't in fact particularly depressing points leading to major cataclysmic events. A person feeling that something was off in 1935 or before the French revolution or before the plague or before the collapse of Roman Empire would have been right. I'm asking whether we might now be at such a point, not crying about degeneracy specifically but asking whether we have reached a point where a significant historical shift or event might happen in the near future. I believe if one observes things around him he can certainly speculate that such a time *could* be near but of course given that people are mistaken about it all the time, I was curious what amount of other people feel the same way.

I've felt it, I just assume it has to do with getting older and becoming more aware of the chit around us. Like someone said before, the quick progress and dependence of the internet/technology has made a lot more people detached from reality and bad news is more in our face these days.

There definitely seems like more of a divide, but deeper than that, feels apocalyptic in a way

can you imagine shutting down the world economy like this any other time? more serious than a war.

Of course fake media does not reveal how much this hurt the economy. Obviously, oil use, rent prices, etc. all severely contracted during this and will show up in the economy somewhere.
