Do you do online shopping or in-store for clothes? [srs] [reps]
Please exclude the current pandemic situation as it is unprecedented times etc.
I have had two online shopping experiences until now, and both of them were complete disappointments from the biggest online retailer here (UK brahs, I got stuff from ASOS).
Do you guys think it is better to shop online than in-store?
The way I see it:
Online
- Don't have to go physically.
- More choices.
- Better availability of discounted/on-sale items.
- Might not fit in unprecedented ways (made for someone with a longer torso even though you got your size; regular/skinny fit might of this exact model of this exact brand might look weird on you).
- Quality/feel/look might be much ****tier than expected.
In-store
- Have to go to a place where (although big shopping malls have this covered).
- Less choices.
- Less availability of discounted/on-sale items.
- Get to feel the quality and how it feels/looks.

A lot of times I'll check it out in store and then try to find the exact item for cheaper online. I used to be big on seeing it in store/trying it on, but now with dressing rooms off limits, I'm probably 50/50.

If I'm buying a higher ticketed item I go in person.
If I couldn't care less - I'm purchasing online.

75% of my shirts are large, black, metal band tees I buy at concerts or online. I pretty much always wear a band tee, skinny jeans and skate shoes. that's like my default style since highschool haha.
the rest are casual button up and dress shirts for work and special occasions and stuff. I wouldn't buy them online because I like to try them on and make sure they fit nice.
Same thing with pants/jeans, jackets and even shoes. I never buy shoes online because a "size 10" can either run big or run small. I've noticed that for brands like Adidas especially.
that being said, with the pandemic and chit, I'd probably buy new clothes online these days if I HAD to and return to seller if they don't fit. But Idgaf about fashion so I rarely buy new clothes anyways lol.

Considering most places have free returns, why the hell would you go to a store?

Online shopping is where it's at
-best deals are found online when they email you like 15% codes, 50% off entire purchase etc
-online items not sold in stores
-returns are easily accepted and convenient (most products are shipped with a return form and return postage
I am lucky in that I am pretty much otter mode (5'10 @ 185 lb) can easily fit 40-42 jackets, 30-32 trousers/jeans, 15.5 dress shirts, large sizes in European fashion houses (dat Zara slim fit)
Through this pandemic, I've spent more online shopping than I've spent on clothes EVER
