What Supplements do you take?
In college I used to take the standard 3: pre-workout (with water), protein powder (with skim milk / almond milk), creatine monohydrate (with water, otherwise blended into the protein mix). I stopped taking the protein because I didn't want to get too big (wanted to stay lean), I felt heart palpitations from pre-workout and didn't want to take it before going to the gym if I anticipated a cardio session (now a days I do cardio daily), and I stopped taking creatine monohydrate because of all of the media/rumors regarding hair-loss and gynecomastia associations.
Looking back at it, I think it was more so the actual cost of these items that kept me staying dedicated and motivated for the gym and disciplined in my diet, rather than the effects of the items themselves.
Any Miscers still take supps? And if so, which ones do you wholeheartedly stick with?
My former favorite supplements below.
Spoiler!

Fish Oil
ZMA
Creatine
Protein
Multi
ZMA is probably the one that is unnecessary and I could/should cut out since the multi is already loaded with the same nutrients but I love the dream gains that it gives me

Workout specific:

Sometimes pre-workout

“The key nutritional aspects are earth-grown nutrients. That’s real food. That’s whole food. I like to say no pills, no powders, no potions. We don’t need that garbage. We need real food. Real food has sustained life on this planet since the dawn of time. Wild caught lean meats – nothing preserved, no chemicals, lots of vegetables, I’m a huge produce fan – because that is life. And then complex carbohydrates in the form of quinoa, brown rice, sweet potatoes – things like that. And we eat! I make sure they’re constantly eating a tremendous amount of highly usable foods.” – Mike Dolce
