Getting called out for being 'quiet' IRL

Does anyone find this irritating and just downright patronising? For example went on a date Saturday and the girl said literally 2 mins after meeting me 'you're so quiet I hate it' I didn't know what to say back so just replied 'I always am' and there was an awkward silence for about 10 seconds.

Once we got into a bar and had a few drinks we had some decent convos so it wasn't so bad.

But still this happens whenever I meet someone new, I don't even consider myself quiet I just hate pointless small talk. If I'm having a convo about something I'm interested in I can talk for ages.

The only time I'm really quiet is if I'm around someone I have nothing in common with or strangers who I just met but that's to be expected.

Why do people expect you to talk pointless bullchit just for the sake of it?

Lol I would of walked out on that bish for saying the "i hate it" part, fuk that.

75% or more of people are absolute retard gossip queens who speak more than they listen. And they should just stfu 99% of their day, but don't.

The most respected people talk less, but when they do, everyone will stop and listen. And their words have impact. Ppl who dont stfu, ppl eventually phase them out and don't even respect them.

Don't worry about it, or her dumb ass. What she is really doing, is projecting. Let me translate for you: "I am a boring dumb idiot, and I have nothing of value to say. So you need to carry our conversations."

Learn to ask open ended questions and let them talk about themselves. And periodically repeat back things they say that seem to be important in their answers to show that you’re listening.

As someone introverted and not naturally inclined to blathering on endlessly with people, I’ve found doing the above to work pretty well.

She sounds like an unclever bitch who can't be bothered to help carry the conversation. You never have to be anyone different than yourself, especially for twats like her.

Probably.

But men also need to be able to hold a conversation. How TF do you run out of things to say 2 minutes after meeting someone??

I'm saying this as a boring, quiet guy myself lol

Yes, and now that I'm 27 if someone was irritating me with that I'd tell them flat out. Immature crap.

Your response to her should have been a simple "unlike some, I don't speak unnecessarily. I also only talk to people I actually want to talk to." Then do a 360 and walk away.

This, but change 75% to 90%. Majority of people are extremely terrified of a few seconds of silence. Whenever I go out with a group of people I get hit with the same BS, so much so that I can't even chew my food in peace because you're always expected to say something. I quickly learned to embrace being an introvert and stay away from people in general. If you're trying to get some pussy then memorize a bunch of stupid questions and fake it till you make it.

I literally greeted her at the shopping centre/mall and asked how's she's doing and chit.

As we're walking out couple mins later she calls me out.

I'm not gonna be yapping constantly with someone I only just met, I have to sit down and get comfortable first.

It is irritating, especially the ones that talk nonstop about shallow or inane bs, that literally never shut up then have the nerve to ask why are you so quiet? Lol just ask them why do you talk too much?

The thing is around my group of friends I can be quite loud at times and I'm known as the joker of the group who tells funny stories, but that's because I'm obviously far more comfortable around them compared to someone who I've only just met.

She was negging you. That was your cue to assert dominance, by any means necessary.

People get uncomfortable in silence. Some people do. Find a girl you can have conversations with that actually interest you. I agree. I hate smalltalk just as filler. It should be meaningful.
