"no mask" approach is failing in Sweden

Everyone in support of no masks, no shutdowns, no social distancing.. thoughts? it's caused Sweden to climd to #15 in highest death per capita and soon to be #13. not a third world country. Sweden.

Look at what their death count has dropped off to.

Sweden’s in the endgame, covid is nothing after you suck it up and get it over with. Just fukking spread that chit and let’s pick up the pieces, it’s inevitable anyways.

Yes rates for a seasonal virus will go up during fall/winter

So what, if rates go up, their deathrate is staying down despite tons of people getting it still. I guarantee as you start to see people catching it 2nd and 3rd time it will be nothing more than a cold anymore.

If you look at the other countries in the top 15, a lot of them aren't 3rd world either lmao wut (they're 16th anyways not 13th). Also see above daily death graph lol they're doing just fine now & have been since July meanwhile the rest of the world is experiencing fluctuations. You lost this one brah Sweden won

If Sweden’s daily new cases are increasing significantly, their daily deaths will also increase. We’ve been seeing a ~6wk lag lately with the increased testing and such, catching new cases earlier at the front end so there’s more of a lag between the ramp ups. See: France and Spain

Also note than Sweden has 107,000 confirmed and recorded cases against a population of over 10million, a whopping ~1% of the population. So they are nowhere near anything resembling herd immunity as some people above seem to be suggesting. Their economy also went to chit, although not quite as badly as some of their neighbours

JFL. 6000 deaths in almost a year in a country of 10 million and the 15th highest death rate per capita with no masks/no shut down from day one isn't failing.

If anything those numbers expose the coronaflu for the absolute sham that it is.

No where in these statistics is there any sign of your 6 week lag period, from it started in march till the end of october.

If you think their confirmed cases has anything to do with how far they have gotten towards herd immunity you are too dumb to post anything about this topic srs.

Why don't you care about suicides and excess deaths from non-covid causes OP? Less people are seeing doctors and the ER for heart disease, stroke and cancer.

Why do you care more about a piece of cloth than lives?

Did you post a link to Swedish stats? Current stats in Sweden aren’t what I’m talking about, I’m saying look at Spain and France’s second waves as an indicator of the lag between new cases picked up via testing and the increase in daily deaths.

And recorded cases obviously do not capture the full picture in terms of people who may have caught the virus but were asymptomatic and were never tested or added to the tally. Unless we believe those people represent another 59% of the Swedish population, they’re nowhere near herd immunity, even 10x is likely being extremely generous

From what I've seen statistically, Sweden has a fairly low per capita rate of contagion considering they went herd immunity.

You realize Sweden likely has some of the highest standards and capabilties for testing meaning that their reporting would be significantly higher than most other countries right?

You think fukking Botswana has the same testing as Sweden?
