How can Everest summiters take any pride in what "they" do??

imagine tipping some poor sherpa pennies to drag all your chit up to base camp, only to get them to risk their lives by going up even further and setting up all the fixed lines so you can drag your sorry ass to the summit and claim victory on social media

Everything around Everest is so lame, there's a line of people at the summit all standing around to get a selfie.

I'm more impressed with people that do local stuff solo.

It was popular before social media.
It’s still probably pretty hard.
Some people do it with no oxygen or with physical disabilities.
It’s still the tallest peak in the world. Being able to say you’ve been there no matter how you got there is the main reason. Too bad helicopters cant just land on top.
