Ordered a $2000 Stickley ottoman and waited like 10 weeks for it to arrive, and then the dog chewed on it the first night

Bought a used 2014 Cadillac SRX and it had hidden damage, a $4000 fix

Didn’t replace the ottoman and didn’t pay for the fix on the Caddy so not really money lost per se, but definitely value lost

Just about $500 loaning it to a family member. But I always go by the saying if you loan money to a friend/family, think of it as a gift not a loan so it didn't cause me heartburn.

When I was 20 I got a job as a writer for a tv show. I didn’t have state issued ID or a copy of my birth certificate, so they paid me in cash because I couldn’t open a bank account.

One of the actors from the show showed up at a hang out in my town, and in a room full of people, he gave me $30,000

One of the rich blonde dudes who hung out there knew were I lived, so he went to the police and told them I stole the $30,000 from him; the police believed him and claimed he had “a paper trail” and took the money from me at gun point and gave it to him.
