Equipped lifters and powerlifters in general don't bother me, I actually think their sport is kind of cool to be honest.

What rustles me is when they act incensed that:
1. You want to work in with them during busy time and no squat racks. Brah, you rest for 15 minutes, I can literally get all my reps in with you even noticing. Extra bar just sits on the safeties between sets.
2. You have 5 minutes or less remaining on the squat rack but because they just mainlined 8 scoops of pre-workout and if they don't lift in the next 10 seconds they will chit themselves, it's imperative that you immediately vacate the area for them to do what you've described above and warm-up for 2-3 hours.
3. They don't shower and make the entire gym just phucking reek.

In general bloatmaxxed PL brahs just have some of the chittiest gym etiquette in the world. I assume because the sport is 90% manlets and their toxic energy slash outlook in general sullies the vibe.

Powerlifters slam their 3 rep deadlift sets hard af for attention then watch what everyone else is doing in the gym so they can make themselves feel better for being stronger then all the jacked dudes who actually look like they lift doing 10 rep sets.

Here's how to do a curl by king rippletits himself.

can't put your slingshot on until you find the right five finger death punch song for your rep, beat your wife once for good measure, then sniff your smelling salts and scream while beating your chest and doing your 15 minute pre-rep ritual

Classic PL cope.

3 reps of an elite DL at my bodyweight (90kg) means 250kg x 3 = 750kg. Versus my 3 sets of 10 reps at 140kg = 1400kg per set. So they get mogged by 100% for every one of my "poverty" bodybuilding sets.

lmao u realize the PL'er u described would rep ur max for 10 without even training high reps? and since ur weak and ignorant powerlifters train in high rep ranges just as much as they do low ranges lmao.

Some certainly do, and typically PLs who train like actual athletes are super down to earth dudes who respect other brahs in the gym. I'm talking about fatcel cope monsters who follow the classic notsrs PL bloatlord cope regimen of 1RM for every lift, every week + OJ, and then act like they work for their poverty gains.

Why do PL copers insist on acting like they are special instead of just another gym-goer trying to get a workout in?

It takes 20 seconds to put on knee sleeves. I don't like wraps, but those take about a minute. It takes 20 seconds to put on wrist wraps. It takes 5 seconds to put on a belt. It takes 5 seconds to put on a slingshot.

Also the dude in this picture lost like 200 lbs and just took 2nd place Amateur BB at Mr. America.

these fatcel cope monsters u describe are literally 1% of the powerlifting 'community'. every sport has retards in it id say bodybuilding has many more considering the sport is all about vanity. any powerlifter who has any kind of success wont be anything like what u describe

and ive literally never met a single pl'er who thinks theyre 'special'.. do you think prepping for a big set makes someone think theyre special? lol

I lol'd but don't powerlifters have to rest a ton? I was watching the video of that 155 lb Asian guy who can bench like 400+ lbs. He seems to basically spend his entire day working out because of how much rest he has to do between sets.

No I think lifting like a dooshbag in a commercial slash non-specialized gym and bullying women and noobs out of equipment so you can flex your insecurity does though.

EDIT: yes they are a minority-- the minority of copers who don't take their sport srsly and try to "powerlift" at gyms not meant for it.

I agree. Bragging is bad.

Allow me to give you mad probs for having the most epic bacne though

And OP, nailed it exactly. When I lifted, I was kind of bothered by the constant smell of piss and feces from a complete tool that squatted in nappies - I’m not sure what these are actually called, but they are some type of spongey compression diaper for squats. Lol

yeah they're prolly gassed cus theyre lifting heavy weight and taking the set to failure, aka training hard. and im assuming these imaginary powerlifters u meet are 300lbs 40% bf since theyre all u see when u walk into a gym.

i get gassed after 5 rep deadlift sets to failure even when lean and i train up to 10 reps. so not even sure what ur point is tbh

The point is you were just flexing 30 seconds ago about how any PL in the world could rep out my max and now when called out on it admit that that is likely just bloatlord cope logic. Strong reversal of position within 1 minute.

id say the majority of powerlifters have much better gym etiquette than the average person. never see any not re racking their weights etc. idk what equipment theyre bullying considering a power rack/bench is majority of the equipment needed.

When they storm up to some 40kg bish on the squat rack, ask how long they have left and then sit there and stare at their b hole for the remainder of their 10 minute workout is one example.

You can live in fantasy land and say it never happens if you want I guess, but any gym goer in the world has experience with these types of soft kunts and it seems to me you're just triggered that PLs are getting chit on ITT. If it doesn't apply to you brah, congrats. If it doesn't apply to anyone in your circle, congrats. Doesn't make it false though brah.

ive never witnessed anything like that and quite in fact the opposite. i see regular gym goers doing retarded chit all the time but never PL'ers and a ton of pl'ers train at my gym. sure i believe it happens but i dont believe its common whatsoever
