Failed the PE exam (engineering)
Took it yesterday. Crushed the AM portion, and was crushed by the PM portion, for sure. For those unaware, the PE exam stands for Professional Engineering exam. Important license for us engineers. 8 hour exam split up into two portions. I don't feel two bad, and will crush it all next time.
Had some good food as well in the city I took it in. It was a "new orleans" style restaurant, but mogged the actual food I had when visiting New Orleans a few years back.

Many days, I don't even test tbh, just make up the whole report.
Rebar:
If some ******* drafter made the drawing super complicated and I can't understand after 10-15 min of poring over it, I just pass the whole thing.

this is so common it's arguably the norm. 100.00% srs. geotechs work a chitty job for low pay, they get burnt out fast and stop giving a fukk. i'm trying hard to get into contract adminstration or inspection. and when i do, i'l let the materials testing boyos do whatever they want cus i know the feels

Das not it mane. Studied with two budies for at least 3 months. I bought a PM Module from Mansour. Reviewers swore they passed it on the first try with it. I stayed at the office for at least three hours after work every day and read every page of the manual. I felt like we overstudied and we all passed. Had plenty of time to go over all my answers, double check work and make some corrections.

Depends on your job now. I've seen PEs do okay in the field and people who do have it do better, and its a mixed bag so it might help you.
I chose not to go for that because IDGAF, and I am the bosses favorite and get the best raises and promotions. But depends on your situation.
Worth mentioning, my dad failed it twice as EE and he makes more than the average for his age and way more than me. Also EE. I think companies value performance over credentials to some degree.
