How do people who program cope writing code for a living??

Doing your own thing for a few hours a day is cool, but couldnt picture anything worse than being plugged onto a pg debugging vast codebases or writing unit tests 8 hours a day for clients who barely even know what they actually want. dont care how good the salary can be, that chit would be suicide inducing

It's not bad. I probably annually average hours in the high 30s per week. Some perks are flexible hours, high pay, physically undemanding (though it's on you to not become a tight af office cuck physically), cool as phuck coworkers (that's a bit of an anomaly I'll admit). It's enjoyable to make things work. I get a similar kick out of programming as I do working on my cars. Development definitely isn't my dream job, but it's pretty good considering it leaves you with a large amount of free time and money.
I'm gonna make it

Could never do that chit. You have to be a ****** just trying to live in AC to put up with that fuking garbage.

Just lol if you aren’t in medicine, except the stress and rigorous training are beyond miserable. Pretty much everything about modern life fuking blows honestly 😕
