Need a good Upper/Lower Split

Been on a PPL legs for over a year now and looking to change it up. I have a show in 3 weeks and looking to change it up a bit so I can spend a bit more time posing and doing cardio. Anyone have a good program that you have seen good results with? Will rep.

I’m not a bodybuilder by any stretch of the imagination, but you’re going to just change your workout routine on a whim three weeks out from a bodybuilding show because you want to “change it up?”

Again, not a bodybuilder, but this certainly seems sub-optimal to say the least.

With the PPL I spend a **** ton of time in the gym daily/weekly then I have to fit cardio into it. With an U/L I think I can free up some time to pose more and do more cardio. I might be wrong someone can correct me.

Don't change anything before your show you're going to encounter all kinds of issues doing that.

My upper/lower routine goes like this:

Upper:
Dumbbell Bench 5x10
Lat Pulldown 3x10
Incline Dumbbell Press 3x10
Pullups 3x10
Cable flies 3x10
Cable rows 3x10
Face pulls 3x10

Lower:
Leg Press 3x10
Hanging Leg Raises 3x10
Leg Extension 3x10
Suitcase carry x1

Then an arm day. You can determine what exercises you do yourself.

Obviously I need more leg volume so add in your favorite exercises.

The logic in switching from chest to back every exercise on upper body day is "flushing" the pump like old school bodybuilders. Arnold would superset these exercises, you can do that if you need a more intense workout.

Upper lower is my favorite since I've always felt you can ham the intensity more than PPL and do more volume per workout than full body.

Why not just condense your PPL routine into a UL routine? should be manageable no? Without changing a whole lot. Or maybe a UL/PPL 5x a week. i don't think you have to drastically overhaul everything, just re-arrange a few things to make it work for you. maybe have some supersets or giant sets to save even more time.

Been thinking I will probably drop the second leg day for posing/cardio. I have an glute injury so I dont want to overdo it, especially on a deficit.
