there hasn't been easier times for humans

yet it feels so difficult, mental illnesses ramping up, loneliness...

Compared to 300 years ago, this is heaven, no nations conquering your lands and mass raping everyone, no starving, good healthcare....

You were less aware of those issues back then unless you were actually living it. Instant mass communication is still pretty new. ~100 years if you include widespread radio usage.

Too much focus on personal economics and not enough culture. The hierarchical social values of class just aren't that important anymore but it's all anyone can pay attention to.

No major war, no famine, everyone with high base level of education (can read/write), and access to EVERYTHING. Most problems now are manufactured. Oh no muh student loans. Oh no my phone is 3 generations old. Oh no I'm not famous or rich.

Oh, and no one mention how survival of the fittest no longer applies ayy lmao

Relationships are everything to humans and modern relationships are garbage/nonexistent. Thus modern life is actually harder because it sucks and we are educated enough to realize it. Back then people had trash nutrition and their brains were simple as fuk so they were all happy simpletons believing their stupid little religions. Life was trash in many ways but still better overall brah. This is evidenced by the fact I guarantee people were happier than today.

you're using old tech (brain) in an ever increasing tech society

either our bodies weren't made for this or they simply haven't caught up

in other words, humanity has been lost a lil bit

Everything you just said could very easily just be **** you pulled out of your a**. You can’t say “this is evidenced by” and then use a baseless assumption you came up with.

The simple truth is that humans are inherently flawed creatures and also that suffering is a natural and guaranteed part of life. No matter the era, there will always be some issue, something to complain about.
