Leg day and testosterone. Opinions?
Some gym bro’s were telling me today that they work their legs twice or three times a week to increase their test. I’ve done a bit of research and it seems that compound exercises increase testosterone more than a simple isolation movement. Makes sense but is there anything more to this?
I work my legs twice a week too but I’m genuinely curious and keen on some opinions. Bro science welcome lol

That's broscience. The increase if any would be negligible.

Nothing truly raises testosterone to a level that will ever make a difference... except testosterone

The thought is that working larger muscle groups elicits a larger hormone response from your body.
It also demands more from your body, possibly draining you if you're not eating right.

As said previously, it does raise your test levels but for a very short period of time (small spike for few hrs)...up to the point where it doesn't really matter.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit softly.

if you can work legs x3 per week, you aren't trying hard enough.

It’s pretty common knowledge that squatting does raise test levels a very small amount that’s why some bros train legs once a week but squat 2 times a week.

It probably is broscience but I heard this a long ass time ago and ever since have started my lifting cycle with legs and done chest the next day.
Probably doesn’t do anything but I feel like I have a good split regardless.

Heard this once from a friend whose dad used to lift??
His dad said he used to hit a few leg exercises before every different day of lifting ‘to increase his testosterone and have a better workout’
Sounded like broscience to me
