I think I'm hearing a gun being shot ever few minutes? WTF is going on? Was sitting outside because I stopped to get some gasoline and there was a large group of people standing by the entrance of the gas station mean mugging me. I was on my way home from getting 3 more months of canned goods and supplies. I had a really bad feeling so I decided to sit outside in the dark and watch to make sure nobody is lurking around. I see kids going by and cars flying by at least 40-45 mph on my residential street? The fuk is wrong with people? Now I am hearing one off fireworks or a gun being shot every 30 seconds to few minutes. Definitely doesn't sound like fireworks and idk where someone can even buy them this time of year. I think they dont even mail them unless you pay high hazardous material fee.

BOOM with snap sound like a rifle. And I swore I heard my screen door open and close but I looked out there and didn't see anything. I have my porch light off. I was practicing lock picking and realized how pointless locks are. I mean I will still keep things locked but if someone wanted in here they could do it in like a minute tops. I think I'm gonna order a thing that prevents my deadbolt from being turned as long as I am inside the house.

Shouldn't have snitched OP - they're coming for you now.
On a serious note - move out of Chicago.
On a real serious note - depending on the state you live in, every crime outside of serious violent felonies where someone gets f*cked up is basically a catch and release with no real deterring consequences to career criminals who don't care about not being able to get real employment....which is why good communities are now filled with trash.

Yeah the moon was nuts earlier but now it is cloudy. I need one of those things I saw a long time ago that go between the deadbolt and the frame and wraps around this hinge thing you can flip over the deadbolt lever to prevent it from being turned if someone picks the lock. Anyone know what I am talking about? I cant find one anymore.

I had about 40 trick or treaters today. Everyone who came by was polite and cool, and it was a great halloween. This is the norm, and it sucks that the media makes people think differently.
