Mum and Dad appreciation thread .... Lets do this



Off the top of my head -



Dad - Super charismatic, can convince you that the sun rises in the west and sets in the east .... Everywhere he goes, either people hate him, or love him, or he can make you adore him. He does things absolutely insane that I cant even get my head around - Best story I've heard him do was was convincing the airlines/flight crew to let him smoke on the tarmac during a flight because he wanted a smoke. Shop-keepers fear him ...... He would break them down and manage to get the sale at bargain price, no matter how expensive it is.

- Used to be in a rockband when he was younger, played the guitar and sang, back in the 70's bell bottoms and all.

- Incredibly hardworking and mind made of metal, never once let failures or set backs affect him despite everyone losing faith in him.

- very giving and generous, to a fault.



Mum - Filled with unconditional love and a great cook.
- Incredibly patient and completely selfless even though I can sometimes be a difficult son.
- Loved by all the cousins in her family, because shes the one aunt that doesnt get involved in dram nor judge people
- Overall an incredibly woman, that's incredibly loyal, selfless and would sacrifice anything just to make sure the family/my dad are happy


and both of them married 30 years (or a bit more i cant remember hehe) rock solid ..... Of course it wasnt an easy ride, but they've made it.

Extremely stabile, which is probably the most important quality a parent can have.

Other than this, they're a bit too closed minded and antisocial for my tastes though. They have more money than they'd ever need by now, so I wish they could start doing more fun things.

they are annoying and i can't stand their parenting style and resent them for it. But they love me more than anything and I inherited that love.

Mom would’ve done anything for me. Dumped dudes I didn’t like, etc.
Dad is pretty much Superman.
