Lex and Eric: One Great Podcast Episode
Watched last night and found this one so engaging I didn't really fiddle with anything else (misc, a book, coloring, etc.).
It begins with a conversation around musicians apparently sparked by a discussion of Eddie Van Halen. Next they talk a bit about our intensely disrupted and anxiety creating present circumstance (not virus focused orjustpolitical). Then near the end Lex presses Eric on why he has pulled back from his engagement with the public via his own podcast (The Portal).
I love these guys. Lex is so hopeful in his way and so very young. Eric is more pessimistic, learned in the ways of petty real politik. They are worth "knowing" if you haven't met them yet.

I do sometimes wish I could just tell him to loosen up and have a little fun.

Or that there doesn't seem to be a significant genetic commonality that links all Jewish people?

I will say that I think the creation of Israel was a ridiculous act of hubris. The UN essentially claimed the territory because it was the traditional place of origin of the Jewish people. From the links above I believe only about 3% of their genetic heritage traces back to the ME.
The equivalent would be the UN claiming Tilden, NE as the homeland of the Scientologists and granting ownership to them because L. Ron Hubbard was born there if Tilden, NE was actually highly desirable/contested by multiple groups of people. And I suspect that the practitioners of Scientology have more genetic commonality with the residents of Tilden, NE.

Would I develop a little crush on one of them if we were in regular physical proximity? Maybe.
