It’s interesting for sure.

But I try and separate myself from outcomes that don’t directly impact me, so I’m not overly invested. Especially as a Canadian.

I’m pretty much a full fledged nihilist so I view this entire election as just real life entertainment.

If you’ve studied anthropology and why humans behave they do, you’ll become so jaded to the point where you view humans as ants. Like I’m an alien from another galaxy viewing the earth and it’s creatures go about doing things. Humans are a sh!t show, we are mostly selfish or self-minded by design (even when you think you’re being benelovant), we’re really just primates with highly evolved brains.

We’re all a product of our genetics and the sum of allllll of our interpersonal events molded together to shape what or who we are. We all think we’re good people when that same DNA you see in a Nazi or a Terrorist is also you. We all think our personalities are shaped by our special little views on life that have mostly been created for you depending on what you’re exposed to.

If you were born in Nazy Germany, the statistical probability that you would’ve kept your mouth shut to preserve your own life, you’d do it. You wouldn’t be the hero to save Anne Frank or the guy who tried to assassinate Hitler. Your brain contains of the same programming and capacity for evil as those guys and everyone else. It’s easy to sit on your high horse now and say those evil people throughout history were monsters when in reality you have that same
