Denmark plans to cull 15 million minks after coronavirus mutation spreads to humans

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/d...reads-n1246445
Denmark plans to cull its entire population of roughly 15 million minks in farms after the animals spread a mutation of the coronavirus to humans.

The country's prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, said at a press conference Wednesday that the mutated virus could spread to other countries and it "may pose a risk to the effectiveness of a future vaccine."

“We have a great responsibility towards our own population, but with the mutation that has now been found, we have an even greater responsibility for the rest of the world as well,” she said.

The mutated virus was found in a dozen people who got infected by minks. Half of the 783 human Covid-19 cases in northern Denmark "are related to mink," Health Minister Magnus Heunicke said.

Mike Ryan, the head of the emergencies program for the World Health Organization, has called for scientific investigations of the "complex, complex issue" of people outside of China infecting minks, which in turn transmitted the virus back to humans.

Kare Molbak, a director at the research center Statens Serum Institut, said the worst-case scenario would be "a new pandemic, starting all over again out of Denmark."

“That’s why we have to take this extremely seriously,” Molbak said.

There are between 15 million and 17 million minks in Denmark, one of the world's main mink fur exporters. According to government estimates, culling the country's mink population could cost up to $785 million. National police head Thorkild Fogde urged that “it should happen as soon as possible."
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

1. Why are they testing minks

2. I highly doubt they validated the test for minks

3. If you beleive any of this, you have never done pcr or antibody testing IRL.

Minks are tested because coronavirus has spread rapidly at mink farms, even showing virus mutation and so the fear is that the virus can mutate a lot and possibly cause the vaccine to be ineffective. According to various news outlets and experts.

Do they have any proof of this mutation for everyone to see? Nope just go back to watching netflix and playing video games like good little cucks.

Wait till they do this with our animal food supply and then try to force-feed people all that fake meat poison slop. They will claim it was for "the greater good".

"The virus mutated, we had no choice but to kill all the animals and take away your food! Here you go little slave, try this processed trash instead that will make you feel like **** and give you cancer. Everything will be ok, only two more weeks I promise."

This whole thing either happened because a) China manufactured it in a lab and released it not caring about their own people and knowing they could more easily contain it due to zero rights and government power in response to trade war or b) because people want to raise kill and eat animals in filthy conditions, here or there where it is worse it’s still bad everywhere.

Articles state that minks have already been culled for the same reason in Spain and the Netherlands

Mammals like minks are prime vectors for disease transmission to humans, this brings up images of Osterholm describing the Wuhan wet markets with poultry stored in cages above ferrets like some sort of perfect viral experiment

Lol, we have now reached the stage where COVID is being used to accomplish certain agenda items for governments that wouldn't typically be allowed by the population. Guarantee the government wants to get rid of these minks for some other reason, and are now using COVID to do it.

No. Minks and their relatives are susceptible to coronavirus infection and suffer very similar symptoms exhibited in humans. And they’re dying at extremely high rates — there are mink farms in Utah and Wisconsin that have already lost thousands of animals to COVID-19

You are very naive. Politicians never let a crisis go to waste, as this is the only type of situation where they can get certain things accomplished. They are spending $785m to kill 17 million minks. I promise you they could just quarantine them and have the same effect.

Interested in your last statement. Can you expand on it?
I just started working in a lab that I also did my clinical rotations for school. Not sure if they still do COVID testing as they only got like 800 or so test kits a week during my clinical rotations a few months back, but I talked to one of the guys doing PCR for COVID. He and I discussed how the facility only did PCR and didn't do follow up with titers, which we both found odd.

No idea wtf a mink is let alone what “culled” means

-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

-I'd rather live life saying "I failed" than "I could have"
