Can you truly refute Simulation Theory/Hypothesis/ whatever?

I can not proove it (100%) but it makes 10000 times more sense then those desert religions.

Brb Judaism/ Chris/ Islam are real because their books told us so.

Brb I own the moon because I wrote that in a paper.

I don't see how it could ever be refuted.

If it could be I'm sure it would have been brought to this mans attention by now.

Could be that we are inside a simulation, and actually part of it without any manifestation in real world. So basically we are all AI. And that people from real world could jack in and walk among us.

Could be like a computer game or used for research purposes. Like testing side effects of a drug/ vaccine etc

Simulation theory is the modern scientistic creation story, AI is its God and Elon Musk the prophet.

The possibilities are endless. A perfect simulation of a universe that creates a simulation of itself would eventually simulate a universe. Simulation inside simulations is assumed.

For research purposes you would want to fast forward the simulation. It would be worthless to have to sit and wait until millions of years pass by to get to the point you want to draw data from. Even if we were in a simulation with time moving at x999999 speed we wouldn't notice.

Whether it's a simulation or not makes no real difference to the way you die. Also, time is a 2d square tube.

We will all be dead for eternity before we find out. That's not to say you should exercise your mind and think about these things, but if you try wrap your head around eternal non-existence you will nearly go insane.

Reality, consciousness, and God is far more complex than our tiny human brains could ever comprehend. People just like the simulation theory right now because we always see reality through whatever our current understanding is, and since computers/AI are at the forefront of society we just assume we can apply that to the entirety of creation. In reality it is almost certainly much more complicated than that.

Imagine a guy born in 1900s and lived for a long time. And imagine the things/ changes he saw. Also consider how fast the modern world is developing compared to medieval/ victorian times.

Not impossible.

If we can think about it it is not beyond our understanding.

Can a Zebra think about flying? No. But we could and we did.

I just find the idea that any entity other than humans would make a simulation. Its just a silly idea, why would they even bother?

Easy to come up with ideas bro. I guess a 10 yo could give me some ideas if I asked to.

Here's two of them:

-Zoo theory
-Entertainment
-Research

There are thousands of others.

jamie pull up simulation theory from arbiter of reality site snopes. It says partly true. We are in a simulation but not living. Ha. Fact checked it and you're wrong. It's been deBUNKED. Boom! take that! Baseless claim. Get him out of here. Fake news.

If it is a simulation, who is running the simulation? Are they also simulated? You would need infinite computing power for simulations to run simulations to run simulations to run simulations

Although simulation theory is crackpot, if it is a simulation then the thing running it can be perfectly real. No need for infinite computer power.

People can think about gods having wars in the clouds resulting in thunder...doesn’t mean they understood the complexities of meteorology.

We are just the workers that allow the technology singularity to acquire consciousness

Perhaps electrical current itself is the essence of god and giving consciousness to AI thats essentially immortal is the goal of creation

The human ego comes up with things like carbon being the fundamental basis for life but if you do a bit of research you’ll see it’s usurped by a single mathematical number that all reactions required for formation of life depend on
