What would you have your son do as a career if he was not smart?

Not mentally handicapped but just really slow at learning.

E.g: he struggled with the most basic subjects in school. Would you have him become a tradie?

some sort of tradie, obviously higher skilled trades require intelligence but there are many positions that dont. Example, oil field work i was making 550 a day and worked with high school dropouts that were alcoholics. Tree planting is a solid job if hes canadian work 6 months a year with the option of working another 4 or so in Australia if he wants to go slay pussy

I’d teach him to try harder. 99% of all “learning” done in the school system requires repetition for memory instead of high intellect.

You can be an idiot and still learn most mathematic principles well into college level calc, as long as you work at it.

Focus and persistence are the keys to success.

but a young dude who only wants to work 6-8 months of the year, planting in the summer and rigging in then winter could make bank

not sure if srs.

I'd push for military as long as his ASVAB scores are up high enough to get him into something decent career wise after his enlistment ends. sometimes, a change in direction and new unfamiliar setting could do wonders for a kid and it could all just work out. good luck!

Accounting. A good teacher can pretty much get anybody to understand it with enough time and repetition, as it is so systematic and logical to anybody who has engaged in any sort of commerce or tracked their own income and spending.
