I like Tekken too, but mk was the first I played so more nostalgic to play it sometimes and I like the finishers better too

Tekken easy, mortal kombat is fun for new players and casual fun. But tekken is more skill based and the ceiling is higher, can take years and years to master just once character. It's basically 3d chess and virtual boxing all at once.

I prefer MK, especially the newer ones like MKX and MK11. Injustice is also pretty fun.

Don't know if you play tekken 7 broski but season 4 is coming out this week.
These koreans legit play it like a profession and still got beat by this pakistani player arslan ash (turned out there was a huge tekken scene in pakistan) followed by an influx of pakistani players. the tournaments have always been pretty cool and the skill shows, can't just win by fluke.

Mortal Kombat is GOAT. Not this new age playstation ****. I'm talking true talent.. Arcade... You can even go as far as early game consoles but arcade is where it's at.

MK, MK 2 (GOAT), MK 3/UMK3.

Had one of these in my house for years with multiple arcade boards inside... Had all the MK's listed above and NBA Jam as a bonus.. Regret selling
