Got to LARP as a tradie for a couple days
Had to do some work on a large industrial campus for a couple of days of field testing as a engineering consultant. I was accompanied by a hand full of tradies to do the actual wrench turning and digging, but I got to LARP with my safety vest and white monster and ride around in a work truck for a few days.
It was glorious and fascinating listening to their language/speech patterns, the social dynamic of alphas and betas, and dietary habits throughout the day. The only down side was seeing some hot 20 something walk by and just knowing they thought I actually was a tradie and how different you are treated because of that (no eye contact, contempt in voice, etc.)
Would recommend to anyone with the opportunity though, if given the chance.

I’m not only a tradie but an oldcel tradie and I still get eyefukked these days, not like when I was in my 20’s or 30’s but it still happens. Sorry bud.

Your pocket protector, clean boots/jeans, and smooth pale officecel face probably didn't help. Step aside poindexter the real men have actual work to do.
