If you are a city person, NYC is the best city

Pros:

-Easy to meet people and make friends
-Most things to do compared to every other city
-Everything is open late
-Public transit gets you anywhere, so no need for a car

Cons:

-Expensive as everyone wants to live here
-Democratic/Liberal people who will always vote democratic regardless of how dumb/bad they are.

with Biden so far "winning" nyc is saved in turns of massive bailout money for the city.

If Trump wins then it turns to mexico city, no funding and a broken state.

however its far from being perfect.

Its only amazing if youre rich and chad like, however nyc women are desperate since their is barely any top males.
As a guy you can easily get 3-4 + rotation of women if youre not an autist, its like shooting fish in a barrel.
Most top chads are across the world and can fly females them to their mansion, vila etc. You cannot compete against them.

You have to deal with liberal politicians who are worse than cancer
You have to deal with liberal women who are useless
You have to deal with garbage everywhere, homeless, crime and a huge bunch of useless lemmings with no education

there is no reason to live here anymore if youre middle class. NYC is not for the middle class. Only the rich, and only the leeches off the system

I forgot about that as well. I think there are more single women than men in the city, which is rare as it is almost always the other way around. SF is like a sausage fest in comparison.

I currently live in Chicago. It's similar. It is a very clean city unlike NYC where garbage is laying around, because Chicago actually has alleys. I think the difference is, not as much to do, much more difficult to make friends as I think people are more reserved, but it is more affordable and public transit is good.

My biggest concern or holding back in terms of moving there soon is the liberal politicians, etc. I mean I think Trump's turnout was surprisingly good and much better than in 2016 but I'll wait and see who the new mayor is.

The mayor here in NYC, everyone hates

However, its a liberal city, perhaps the biggest drawback, the good thing is wallstreet is here as well so its not as liberal as california.
NYC loves money and the status quo, that will never change

Love NYC and love DC crew.

DC for my favorite hockey team, so if I had to choose id want to live there.....BUT, NYC is the better city. More to do etc.

I say all that having visited both, solely as a tourist. Expenses aside, they could be fun, but I doubt id want to pay all that longterm

This is true, I've been there several times before George Floyd died and it was great. I do wonder how much worse it is. NYC crime happen even in the rich parts of town, although the poorer parts of town usually have more (Bronx, Harlem, ****ty party of Queens and Brooklyn)

ITT: poorcels who can't afford to live in Manhattan.
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

This was pre covid I think right now the city is shut down in terms of nightlife so probably not as fun anymore but was goat pre covid (srs)

Depends on your definition of "city" only comparable US cities that offer the same experience are Chicago, Boston, Seattle and San Fran.

All of those have the same issues. If you dont need the "NYC experience" then my vote is for Austin TX.

I was talking mad chit about it over the summer when I was living there, but then I left.

I honestly miss NYC more than ever and I'm definitely moving back in April. Honestly though, with restaurants and gyms fully shut down, it did eliminate a massive part of the appeal. Can't play when the playground is shut down.

Living there was the best 3 years of my life though. Can't wait to tack on more best years.

Can't wait to get back and rejoin Equinox or NYHRC.

I just got a job in NYC planning to relocate when we get the go-ahead from mgmt.

Looking forward to it lots of inventory right now that I assume will get eaten up as people return post-COVID.
