Filipino culture
So, my only experience around Filipino culture where I live is, they're all nurses and have to support family back in their home country.
Let me explain. Many years ago, I used to attend a church that was actually run by Filino pastors. It was like a big family and they looked out for each other. In retrospect, they came off as if they were better than us.
Anyway, The older folks were like 95% nurses and supported their parents back home. Understandable. However, their kids (2nd generation, born in US) were told they had to go to school to be a nurse, can't marry outside their race, and still forced to send money back to the Philippines. If they dated anyone outside their; it was heavily frowned upon. This is some old world chit. It has to suck that they have no choice but go into nursing. LOL
What say you misc?

Do they molest their teen step daughters then melt down when they get a boyfriend?

Russians are the same way. You watch other families come to America and make it and you emulate what they did. It's not super difficult to get a job in nursing after graduating and you can easily clear 6 figures with overtime. My grandmother lives in an efficiency apartment with my aunt and her children - they sold their home so that half the family could be here. I happily send money to my overseas relatives who sacrificed so that I could be an American. If I'm being honest it is "better than." I've seen how the majority of western families operate and I'll take my version, thanks.

Filipino culture is fuking weird. There are certainly worse cultures, but it's like this very unsophisticated uber-Catholic environment with little passion. They're not aggressive though and overall decent people. The airport in Manila plays Christmas music on repeat well after Christmas is over. Girls are mostly chubby.
I managed to pick up Chlamydia from either a Filipino girl or a girl from New Zealand earlier this year, guessing it was the NZ though.

I find it partially true. Fiancé’s Filipino and most of my friends are. Even the Americanized ones are pushed to becoming nurses/doctors tho Many MANY Filipinos I know LOVE white guys and many on my fiancé’s side married white guys and their parents are OK with it. The sending stuff to relatives in the Philippines is definitely true, my fiancé’s family is always sending big ass Balikbayan boxes to their relatives.
