Halo reach mogged halo 3

- better sandbox overall besides weapons
- reinvigorated forge
- addictive leveling system and armor customization
- more emotionally captivating story
- better art style. halo 3 and it's predecessors always looked too cartooney
- faster paced multiplayer

halo 3 is only superior marginally on soundtrack, custom games (arguably), nostalgia and multiplayer balance (ie no armor lock)

Halo 3 by far the better multiplayer game, and that’s the whole point of halo at least in my opinion.

Reach was the start of the downfall, which was fully realized in the terrible Halo 4 and 5 games.

The guns in reach are chit. The Halo 3 battle rifle alone makes in a better game.
