I joined planet fitness

My gym keeps changing names and probably will be under soon. So just in case I picked up a planet fitness membership for $1 down and $10 a month with no contract. Sad part is I’m pleasantly surprised how good this place is. All the hammer strength machines are damn good and all brand new. Great cardio machines and place is huge and not crowded.

Downfalls
No cages or benches just smith machines
Dumbbells only go up to 100

Guess I’ll bounce between both

The one near me is actually full of people that lift surprisingly. And the *******s at the front desk don't typically set off the ******* alarm unless someone slams the weights repeatedly. Not that it matters...bidens finna shut all the gyms down when flu season hits.

That's not normal. That must be one of those that purchased an old gym or something.

I was going to a PF for a while (because my main gym is on a Government/DoD installation and isn't opening anytime soon), and then I found out Crunch also has a $10 monthly membership. Crunch is a lot better than Planet Fitness, if you have any available near you.

The machines are purple and are plantet fitness/ hammer strength machines. Have the hammer strength badge on them all. Person at the desk said they just got them in a month ago.

I went to the crunch near me and there is a wait to get in. Fuk that place it was insane. Has to park across the street since their lot was full. So I said fuk it I’ll try planet fitness

How the fuk does yours have 100's? Ours only goes up to 75. I really miss having a squat rack. I hope my old gym goes back to 24 hours one day. Only reason I made the switch.

Damn, mine only has up to 70lb DBs. Sad!

Most people can get a decent workout at a PF, it just wont be as efficient bc of lack of equipment

Most dont even go up to 100s on DBs lol. I need at least 120s, 150s are even better, but lots of gyms dont have those.

I'm in the same boat, but I've never heard of Crunch as there aren't any near me. PF kind of sucks but it gets the job done for now. The fact that it has tanning beds (tanning booths?) seems to draw in some HBBs though, so that's cool

I'm at LA Fitness for the cardio equipment in the winter because I lift at home.

They finally opened a Planet Fitness by me, I checked it out and it's way nicer than LA Fitness for my purposes. Been meaning to switch, but I don't go to the Gym until it's freezing because I get my cardio outside when I can - run bike paddle

Crunch master race checking in. They bought an old abandoned warehouse near me and completely fit the entire thing out with brand spanking new equipment, walls, painted ceilings, bathrooms, locker rooms, mirrored hardwood class room, hydro massage room, tanning room, 30 yard turf strip, spin room, day care, cafe, etc. Seriously the best gym I've ever been to and it's got everything you need, and you can scream and smash weights all you want. It's just one giant open layout for all the machines and weights and stuff, so I like it. All for $10 a month which is insane.

I started at PF. You're right on the machines, they're great. The dumbbells in mine only go to 75lbs and also no racks, just smith machines. You can maintain at a PF, pretty tough to get stronger though.
