Anybody have a loser friend who blames their lack of success on external factors ?
- both 27... know him since way back
- have this friend who is broke , unemployed, living at his dad's house
- hasn't held a job in probably 2-3 years
- no university degree
- has made terrible decisions , and even got played as a simp to this girl he was into ( gave all his money away ) then she moved away
- he also got in some minor legal trouble etc
- i mainly try to keep my distance from him these days because I'm trying to be successful, I'm working full time etc , and the only thing he says when you talk is :
- man there's no jobs around here , or man the rental prices of apartments are crazy around here etc etc just a bunch of COPE for his chitty life situation
My question is : when do these people stop coping and blaming external factors for their situation and wake up one day and finally have an alarm go off in their head that says " man I'm a God damn LOSER "??
Granted this guy was never the smartest ( obviously)
I dont necessary enjoy my job , but you best beleive im grinding it out and making some money at the end of the day
I just feel people like this have poor self awareness and make no reflection of the poor decisions they've made .
If it was me in his shoes I'd wake up everyday to the thought of " man I'm a loser " instead of blaming everything else but MYSELF
Anybody know anyone like this?

Most people I know are losers.
Most people I work with are narcissistic greedy soulless drones of the Tier 1 type.
The biggest losers are the ugly, short, fat, bald, receded chins, weak jawlines, small dinks, barrow clavicles and mouth breathing type.
Note: losers have any of the above qualities.
Cheers

"The manlet is a savage beast that knows no moral bound. After falling in disgrace to a manmore, a ravaged manlet would not hesitate to come from behind and land a sucker punch/ swing with a rock to the back of a manmore's head. They are ruthless and you need to spend some more time in the gutter to even begin trying to comprehend what goes on in their minds."

I know so many professionals that could easily make 6 figures but are either too lazy to do a bit of extra professional development in their free time, or are too comfortable in their current positions.
Losers come in all shapes and sizes, but mostly short, lanky, skinny or obese. You rarely see a 6ft+ jacked guy slaving away at entry level positions longer than a year.

"Success" is mostly determined by external factor op, You're 27 by now you should know this.
- Socioeconomic background
- Cultural and sociopolitical makeshift of your environment
- Genetic makeup
All of those things are dealt to you the moment you're born and you can't do anything to change them. Where and to who you're born are the biggest factors determinig wheter you'll "succeed" or not. Mind you I'm talking about the western, capitalist definition of success. You're friend is right and you sound like a piece of chit friend for talking chit about his back to a bunch of stangers online. Do him a favor and cut him off so he can find better, non alienated friends like yourself.

He should cut me off because I'm more successful?
Why ?
Because I worked harder , I studied harder , I actually thought out some of the decisions I made ? I didn't get played like some sort of simp to the girls I dated ?
You don't account for anybody who was every born poor and then became rich etc.

And secondly I try to help him all the time . But I just get the feeling of negativity stemming out of him , so for my own mental health I need to distance myself sometimes
Also he has done me WRONG plenty of times
Asking to borrow money etc showing signs of jealousy etc
Edit : I gave him advice all the time , about the girls who was playing him etc
He never fking listened to a word i was saying so eventually someone in my shoes just gives up
Obviously you never knew someone like this

can you not see how that is an extremely demotivating path? men are wired to crave women, if he identifies himself as a sub 8 male and can see the writing on the wall, why would he be motivated to "work" instead of rotting? the outcome is the same, living in a penthouse and eating calimari won't fill that void.
the cold hard truth is that external factors DO calculate your life and experience on this planet.

If someone is lacking in 2 or more of those, it's no surprise they decide to check out completely.

When you try you may have a chance to become well off
Then you can drive a nice car around town etc and probably get girls easy
Duuh
You're over thinking

I feel like a ton of places are still hiring for positions that dont require a bunch of education. You may have to lower your standards but honestly like, being unemployed for 3 years is solely his personal fault.
I have a friend sorta like that. But hes always working, just bouncing around. Very fickle which is why his life isn't 100% together. Doesnt really blame others though.

They do not want to lower their standards
But fail to realize their standards are actually way above their actual potential in their circumstance

Anytime I changed careers, I always did so while I was currently employed(save for withdrawing from my 2nd year of law school). Why be unemployed. I dont get it. I wouldnt even know how to look into the benefits let alone believe I should be getting them if its MY CHOICE to be unemployed, especially if I am living at home rent free and all of that.

"Loser" is a social construct. It´s an idea/belief. People chasing social status and money can also be considered losers. It´s a matter of perspective.

That's why contrary to blue pill BS, good looking people tend to be better people than ugly ones as well.

Some people never get their stuff together.
I have an old 'friend' although I barely talk to him. Not a bad guy, but still lives at home, all sorts of issues, doesn't take care of himself, everything is somebody else's issue. I really have no idea what his issue is. I try and talk to him every year or so. I got to admit it is bizarre to me.
