It´s all about position
Wether you´re in a fight, warfare, video game, conflict, relationship, tense situation, negotiation. Or even in your normal regular day to day state, in how you see the world. What position are you in, and what perspective do you have from that position? Position yourself in the right way, and you will have success.
Preparation, being in the moment, think on the fly, adjust.
This also applies spiritually. From what viewpoint do you interact/ see the world from, and other people? What assumptions do you have?
In what part of your brain are you relaxed, and which part of your brain are working overtime. Practice relaxing certain parts of the brain and body. Many people have their prefrontal cortex working constantly on overtime, thinking and thinking. Something like 90% of thoughts are repetitive thoughts, that you really don´t need. It´s possible to calm your neurons/braincells to fire less, which makes you more in the moment. Some people, like myself, have an addiction to left hemisphere dominating thinking. I can actually feel it. My left hemisphere is working overtime, while my creative right hemisphere feels dead and inactive. There are exercises one can do to "build up" the right hemisphere more. Same with other parts of your brain.
Position yourself right, and learn to relax the mind. And work towards a better default mind state. I want my default mind state to be relaxed, not tense and emotional.

I think the best position to be in, is a position where you’re always providing value to others.
At work - produce results, the business relies on you for profit and other less obvious things like the relationships you have with clients you’ve brought on board that would be detrimental to the business if lost because of your departure.
Relationships (platonic and romantic) - be a person of value where you’re adding to that other persons life, what kind of girl wants to be involved with a bum that just sits around eating pizza, drinking and watching Netflix during their spare time. In social relationships be someone that people want to hangout with and have fun with. In both instances no one wants to be around a bitter FA who exudes negative energy but instead want to associate with someone that brings them up.
Own a business - provide a valuable product or service. This is self explanatory.

You wanna have the highground. You wanna be in the warm part of the pool, nearly everyone does. When you´re in the moment, external happenings can effect you less. When you´re stuck in you´re head, you´re stuck in your head. I would like to try to decrease the amount of useless thoughts, but at the same time be capaple of deep PRODUCTIVE thoughts. But this is different modes you can get better at switching between. In one moment, you´re not thinking at all, just being. And in the next moment you can think "original" thoughts ala systems thinking.
