How does buying a house with cash work?

Not exactly cash, wire transfer from my bank acct..

Is it like buying a vehicle where the seller just makes up a bill of sale and you go get the title in your name ect?

I'm trying to buy my moms house so I don't need the home inspection or any of the normal things you would do when closing using a loan company. She has the title free and clear

Call a title company and tell them you want to do a close on a property. Typically you wire the money or bring a cashiers check.

You can't use actual cash due to antimoney laundering laws introduced thanks to 9/11 SRS. If you have money in account, you need a settlement agent, best way worth paying them to do the paperwork.

Also, offer her less cause of meth lab in basement.

You can basically just pay cash but most importantly the sale needs to be reported to the state. It would be wise to have a title company be the middle man...wouldn’t cost much and would be done properly depending on state requirements

I meant cash as in money I have in my bank acct. vs taking out a mortgage... Im curious about the actual transaction itself. Is it as simple as her just signing the title over to me and I take the title to the county/city person and have it changed.
