The age range didn't even matter when I had Tinder in the South of England, loads of single moms between 18-24.
A lot of them had the birth date(s) of the kid(s) in the bios, which I guess is fair enough because at least they're upfront about it.
One time, though, I chit you not, the girl had her DUE DATE in the bio. She was like 7 months pregnant swiping on Tinder.

OP - the reason is simple. Life has gotten easier for single moms. More welfare, more social acceptance, etc. The easier society makes something, the more of it you get.
Like you're not supposed to be homeless. Life is hard for homeless people, and that hardship is supposed to dissuade you from making the life choices that lead you to being homeless. Then look at the San Fran area - tons and tons of social programs where they make being homeless pretty tolerable. Guess what? Homeless people errywhere there.
Likewise, there isn't really as much downside to being a single mom these days like there was before, so young women aren't resisting the life-choices that lead to being a single mom.
