I would only buy models made by True . Had the 300 with the ortho belt , and I’d almost consider it a commercial model.

I see it’s discontinued,and if I did it again I’d go with the 900

Thats true, my treadmill, the width is fine but a lot of the time I'll catch the back of my sneakers on the plastic at the back of the belt towards the end of a long cardio session

Treadmills are bulky. Buy a foldable walking pad.

If your a decent sized guy, like 200+ you need to drop at least $1000 and get a decent one. The cheapo’s dont last for chit.
We have a Pro Form that was $900 10 years ago and it still works fine. I service it once a year and its been used daily for 10 years. Mostly by the wife who is only 120# tho.

I've never understood the need to buy a $1k+ piece of equipment that you literally have for free outside. Go run.

I inherited one. It's in my garage gym next to my power rack. I haven't used it in months. I'd much rather go hiking daily with my dog and take long walks, play soccer outside, etc. I always disliked just walking on a treadmill, it's really boring. There's so much outdoor type cardio one can do that is infinitely more pleasurable and rewarding.

I'd love one of these. But $5000 is just way too overpriced. If it was $2000-2500 it'd be a great option.

Can't do it during Winter.

In some states, it's dumb. But in places where weather is too hot or too cold it's the only way to stay fit all year.

imo the appeal is that with a treadmill you can work to the point of extreme fatigue and not put yourself on display to the whole neighborhood because it looks a little off to see someone really grinding to the point of profuse sweating. treadmills are also beneficial if you live in a bad neighborhood and dont want to get jumped.

This.
I got one for 25 bucks at a local thrift store and I'm glad it wasn't and more expensive.
They get boring fast. It's OK as long as you crank up the tunes on the headphones, otherwise all you here is the motor whining and the thing creaking and groaning away for your intire workout. Hiking up logging roads and through the bush mogs the fuk out of it.
Also like others said belt length is very important.
I'm 6'6 and find mine close to impossible to run on with out having a restricted stride. I mostly do fast walking on it and I'm pretty much using the full belt.
On a plus side it's great for doing cardio when the weather is absolute chit.

That seem practical but I’m a little worried about the durability. Top speed of 6.2 is a nice jog.
