Anyone really miss George Carlin? Imagine the social commentary now

There will never be a shortage of dumbass people on this planet. Once humans group, it's game over. Tribes form, groupthink happens, all critical thinking flies out the proverbial window. I always loved the fact that Carlin would drop a special and just go in for the kill and validate all the thoughts the inhabited my own mind. Miss that guy even more nowadays with all the lunacy going on.

At least we have Bill Burr and Dave Chapelle. Louis CK was okay as well but from a different angle. I've given Jim Jeffries a shot lately but I actually found his comedy got less and less sharp as the specials went on. I love a good schit joke just as much as the next guy, but it really isn't in the same vein as George's astute social commentary.

Post your best Carlin bits in this thread.

We're all gonna make it, brahs.

More than relevant nowadays especially considering the ridiculousness of the woke brigade.

Yes, but you and I both know that if Carlin were alive today, he wouldn’t have the GOAT status he currently does. Instead he’d be considered a commie lib *******.

I don't think so either. Enjoy your clownshow rollercoaster ride while you have the chance. Keep motorcycling around, smoking cigars, enjoying your own life, and generally not giving a flying fuk about the outcome.

By tribal, braindead idiots who can't think critically and only parrot the sentiments of their own prescribed tribes dead srs. If anyone who utters anything remotely 'left-leaning' gets described automatically as a 'commie lib *******,' you've got some serious critical thinking issues and intolerance, my friend.

I've seen some of his stuff and found it good. I've never really delved deeply, however. Would you say it's worth it?

Yeah man I watch his show. Sometimes he does start talking about orange man bad as if its just a given but to be fair he does have moderate Republicans on his show that debate with him. They come off likeable & understandable but I guess compared to aggressive rhetoric, somewhat neutered.

Its a centre left show.

IIRC he went on a rant saying golf courses should be destroyed to make room for low income housing. And golf is a sport where rich people gather to game plan how they’re going to screw over poor people.

lmao, you sound triggered. I guess you're a golfer.

In the end, it's just comedy. It's supposed to challenge you and you should be able to laugh at jokes even if you don't agree with them.

I've been trying to live my life as a slightly 'impartial' observer for quite some time now. It's very freeing and liberating to take more of a back-seat approach and watch the chaos unfold. I just study human behavior. It's really interesting. Like a giant zoo.

You're older, right? It seems like at that age this would be more possible than ever. You don't necessarily have to partake directly in the clownshow because you're at an age where you can just sit back and watch it all unfold.
