Seeing a ton of chit about new lockdown measures in response to the uptick in covid cases. But this uptick happened in the midst of lockdown/social distancing/mask requirements. Regardless of how you feel about those measures, the government was telling everyone that they are supposed to prevent this very situation. So they obviously didn't work. At what point is the gubment going to give up on these draconian and ineffective shutdowns? Or if they never do, at what point will the US population realize this is pointless and stop complying? Come on, how much clearer evidence do people need that locking down/wearing masks/etc does nothing??

I've said this before to friends and they just say"bro, locksdowns do work but there are idiots that won't follow the rules and will still go outside/party/hang out etc. They literally support the most strict lockdown and rules

Makes me cringe how this is the thought process of a lot of people. Completely brainwashed

But those arguments have now been disproven. My state has been fully reopened for months with no problem while other states were in full lockdown. But cases are spiking everywhere, here and in states that were locked down. Could a rational person really think that a fully opened state and a locked down state have the same level of people partying/hanging out?

What do we do misc, I'm ready to riot.
