recommend me good ear plugs (40k reps)

i need to block the noise in the mornings cause it wakes me up, any recommendations for ear plugs? (40k reps)

White noise background sounds from a computer or phone (better from good speakers of course) plus 3M foam earplugs (what tradies use).

Search etymotic. They make great earphones and ear plugs for blocking outside noise. They go deep into your ear canal. Work well..

White noise from a large fan(or video) and closed windows seems to be the healthiest option to me. Sleeping with earplugs will make you deaf from earwax blockage .

In-ear canal headphones



I make my owncustom-made ear plugs by cutting the cord of the old and no-longer-usable pair(Like the ones with disconnected inside wires, so it costs me nothing), also they usually have pads with different sizes you could choose from.

Sooooo quiet at night, good sleep guaranteed.

P.S. For the past 25 years, I've been living next to the train station and cargo trains run all night but I sleep like a baby thanks to this pair of make-shift ear plugs, hehe.

Depending on the structure of your ear, it might not be enough to clean them and wax gets stuck deep inside(and also gets compacted by using qtips or shoving earplugs in there). It's temporary deafness though and can be solved by a doc sucking out the wax. It's a real thing.

I agree on the static noise.

I used both when I lived in a loud apartment.

I tried noise-cancelling headphones, except they feel too surreal for some reason.

Also, magnesium to fall asleep after drinking caffeine during the day made me relax through anything.

Can you sleep on your side with these?

The only thing keeping me from switching from foam is that I can't sleep on my side with earbuds.

I have sciatica and only way I can sleep is on my side. I am fine sleeping with the make-shift earplugs on my side.

The earplugs are superior in sounds insulation but also harder and larger than ordinary foam plugs. Therefore someone who are too sensitive may have trouble sleeping with them on at first and it may take some time (days or weeks) to get used to them.

It's a long time ago I started to wear them so I can't remember exactly what it's like for the first time. But I'm fine with them and the habit lasted till this day.
