A group of women are suing my local bar for testing COVID positive

They are trying to claim the bar didn't take the protocols put forth by the state seriously and it's the bars fault they all got the virus.

So now the bar is completely closed down, even for takeout orders, and the town is now stuck with Dominos as their only takeout option.

Why are people so freaking stupid about this virus? Worried about the virus? Don't have a girls night in public, maybe.

considering 10% of a population will carry a virus at any given time, and out of these 10% another 10-15% will be some type of corona virus

the tests dont detect WHAT type of coronavirus it is but just some type of corona

so 1-10 out of 1000 will always test positive for corona, 20 years ago, 50 years ago, 100 years into the future you name it

the coronavirus stuff was really debunked way back in like march/april, I dont know why people buy into the bull**** anymore

amp up the testing especially now during the regular flu season (october-april) and you have a rise in the virus or a "second wave"

Only one of the women live here and the others came in from St Paul.

They mentioned a covid liability immunity bill for all businesses and for businesses that were open and listed as essential. It was proposed as part of the stimulus bill but democrats wouldnt approve.

how can any small business anywhere afford to stay open and now litigate with these morons, it is destroying them.

One of the chitty things about a small town is the lack of food options. You have McDonald's, Swiss Chalet, Subway, Dominos, Pizza Hut, 2 breakfast diners, and 2 bars. Fukkin lol.

The other thing is your life status is determined and set at a young age. If you're a Timmy or a Brad at 14, you're that person for the rest of your life. You'll never be treated with respect.

The food options are even less than that here.
Like... When I say small I mean SMALL.
I usually drive 30 minutes to get food if I want to eat out, which isn't often.

People like the gaggle of Karen's are really hurting us. We had a similar situation in the summer where a group got our local Summer Festival shut down for COVID. The summer festival that brings in tons of money for our schools.
