thoughts on dating older girls turning 30?

here my out, i met a girl in a group project in college. now, i've had my fair share of sloot smashing before, but this time it's different.
i really don't want to sound gay, but i think i genuinely enjoy her company. unlike the 99% other soulless, personality-let, boring dick outlets in college.

so basically, we share lots of hobbies and interest & she is my exact type looks-wise; i've also seen her without makeup and imho she is genuinely pretty.

. . . but. she is 5 years older than me, i.e. 29 turning 30. now i ain't thrown off by the age difference at all, i just don't know whether i want to date a girl turning 30, given her priorities in life at that age.

we are meeting next weekend, and i am still pondering whether i smash or actually try to date her.

I've got tons of relatives and friends with great relationships where the woman's more than 5 years older. Ask her out and see where it goes. If your priorities are too different, at least you tried.

Was in this identical spot earlier this year (I’m 23, she was 28) also met her at Uni. She was an 8/10 with a very similar personality to mine which is why I dated her, which only lasted a few months mainly due to the lockdown but also our differences were too great. Mainly the fact she was looking to settle down far too soon, and specifically in my case was moving out of country for grad school.

I’d still say based off my experience it can work, if you are looking to settle down somewhat soon and are mature enough.
