Blows my mind what accomplished skateboarders have put their body through

Is this some sort of personality trait (or even defect) that you seriously could care less what happens to your body?

I'm pretty sure Tony Hawk has broken over 50 bones, surgery on the same knee 2-3 times

I skated for about 1 year in Jr. High....fukk that. Planet Earth has a perfect 7,923,154,298 - 0 record. It’s just not worth it.

It's the thing that keeps me coming back and also the thing that makes me retire over and over lol. The thrill of landing a dangerous AF trick that takes elite level of coordination is like none other. But slicing my leg open and spraining my ankle feels like chit. Then I always ask myself, WTF am I doing?
