Hmm I couldn't tell right away from the accent, but I'd guess southern US or maybe rural Michigan or somewhere like that based on the other factors.
That's crazy...I may would eat some deer meat raw (part of the heart or something) but I'd be paranoid of bacteria or parasites.
No way I'd drink beer coming down a freshly-gutted gullet, though. yuck!

As for doing it, I actually dont think there would be much wrong with it, so long as:

-it wasn't gut shot
-you did a damn good (clean) job of field dressing it.

I am a trapper. The best wolf bait is a skinned beaver that was caught mid october and left in the carcass pile until January.
