Misc,

What would you do?

So I'm unemployed and my roommate received a turkey from work and said we could have a pre-Thanksgiving roommates Thanksgiving.

I was pretty hyped as I can't turn down free food as an unemployed person. All I had to do was make some sides, which I already had in storage.

Anyhow, said roommate suddenly acts like this idea of theirs never happened and is taking their turkey somewhere else leaving me high and dry...and alone lol

What the fuk?!

I want to neg IRL.

You were the absolute last option. The roommate went to you out of pity when there was absolutely no other options, and when any one else came along you were tossed aside instantly. Don't take it hard bro. It's just that someone considers you to be absolutely last resort and a truly pathetic loser.

I do buy my own food. I can't afford a turkey though and the idea they had was to eat the one they got for free from their workplace.

Go to aldi turkeys are only 0.87c a lb.
Or hit the soup kitchen/ food pantry lines if a poor cell.
Roommate probably realized they have no idea how to make a turkey so taking it to their moms or friends instead

This event of going hungry on thanksgiving due to being poor should make you stronger and more motivated to get a decent job. Good luck brah
