Random Recommendation: Female Miscers Welcome

Not that guys should be scared.

Awake and thinking about a book that I've read recently. Not sure why or when I added it to my Kindle. I started reading it during the summer while I was stuck at an appointment. I picked it up again here and there in similar circumstances over a few months. Obviously it stayed with me.

It has some romance and a new age-ish element of magical realism, but at the core is a story about life and navigating the difficulty and strangeness of being human in this whirl of relationships and events. The two main characters are an older experienced woman and a younger woman that she encounters and recognizes as being much like herself.

Mostly it is hopeful and a bit healing. It works if you believe there is a divine plan and that everything happens for a reason, or that, instead, things just happen and we create a narrative for ourselves to make it beautiful like the artist creating an image from a random wine stain on a freshly plastered wall.

If something a little light and uplifting would be good for you now then you might like it.

Now I'm going to try an sleep some more.

Cliffs:
