How has your mental health faired during Covid/lockdowns?
I honestly feel like a different person since this all began...afraid to get out of a current relationship because there is now way to meet people/go on dates. I've lived the same life for the past 8 months; wake up, sit in front of zoom for 8 hours at my desk next to my bed, make dinner, go to bed. Picked up a drinking problem to cope. Definitely of the mindset that lockdowns need to be cancelled and high risk people quarantine themselves while the rest of society continues

I think I'm doing ok. I have noticed some people have been struggling, especially with the conspiracy theories, like the great reset.
I try to tell them that even if you do believe in this stuff (I don't) obsessing about it won't do you any good.

I let the situation get the best of me in the beginning.
But I’m getting help, and I have a great support team.
It’s improving significantly.

I'm doing just fine but my dad is really struggling with the isolation. He's been depressed and getting emotional.
I try to drop in and check up on him as much as I can but he's just not cut out for extended periods without human contact. He grew up in a boarding school and has always been a social dude, this has caused him to grow dependent on people and on community.
Whereas myself, I was always socially awkward, never had too many friends, always was into videogames or studying, and so I naturally fare better at isolation and get more work down.
This lockdown is seriously gonna cause some long term psychological and emotional problems for a lot of people.

I'm back to very good mental health now, everything feels really good. However, with gyms closed and my workout classes not going on combined with all the media bullchit from the election that you couldn't avoid, I was in pretty rough shape for about 4 months this year.
Although I am a somewhat social person, the isolation alone doesn't kill me much. It's the loss of freedom and not being able to do things that were routine before. I think I'm slightly autistic in that regard.

A lot better.
I don’t get as stressed on my commutes
I don’t deal with annoying coworkers
I work entirely remotely
I work on my own schedule
My friends and I never stopped hanging out
I have all my groceries delivered
I read more
The list goes on, the major stress was when gyms shutdown and I couldn’t get enough plates together.

it's more other things affect me than this virus no one gives a **** about. like masks, medical appointments are ****in online and phones (like wtf u pussy professionals), lot of community programs are not available or are online, and it's definitely made this city and country a lot more ****tier than it was already which was a tough to beat, but it's definitely much more ****tier, people are 100x more ****tier

I thrived, from a mental health perspective.
Kept my job, worked from home for 6 six months. Live in northern Australia, so 0 COVID in the community.
Not trying to gloat. But it feels like a break from life. I’ve always been a bit of a germaphobe and I hate people, so social distancing feels like evolution.

When everything was closed here it was awesome. Since things opened backed up it’s been a slow downhill spiral for me. I have goals I want to accomplish but can’t.
I was expecting to return to work full time super busy but it’s been the opposite. Now with things half way shut down here I can’t do the things I had planned.
Open it up or shut all down. Either way what’s the point of being in the middle.

Negatively. All in all I'm good, but I'm just mad as fk that my ******* governor has closed the gyms again. Every day I can't believe how legit dumb a good portion of society is that still fears this virus with a 99.xx% survival rate.

Much better.
Closer to my wife and family
Not as frazzled through commuting through a city every day
More money
More focussed on my hobbies
Have spent a lot of time in contemplation and reflection
On a personal level the lockdowns have improved every part of me.
I am sympathetic to people it’s affected poorly, though. It would have killed me when I was in my twenties and going wild every night.

No bueno over here.
Have two kids and a wife, wife was laid off so she is now a stay at home mom meaning I am the sole provider.
My employment is not at all at risk and I make a lot of money but still puts added stress knowing it’s all on me.
Add in my kids having to reduce their interaction with other kids their age at a critical development period for them...
Never see my family anymore because they are all too scared to go outside.
But hey, just need 15 days to flatten the curve! We can do this!
Total crap

Corporate life + Covid lockdowns is pretty nightmarish at the moment. You really do feel like it is your only priority in life
