You’re going to get a lot of hate for this post, but I agree with you 100%.

If you’re just going to cheat, go work at Walmart where you belong.

I condone cheating, but on a useless course thats not going to make an impact on your life. Fuk it. Do what you must do to minimize your time wasted on that class.

I cannot see how you would cheat in most college. Maybe the online stuff or working the financial aid requirements, except everyone does those.

Agreed.

It is so simple—learn the material, study it, and master it. How ever long it takes. The more you cheat, the more everyone cheats, the lower the quality of whatever field, occupation, or discipline we are talking about. Also, lowering standards is almost as bad because it ends up doing the same thing, which is allowing the incapable to advance.

In some domains this is very serious in the immediate sense. It can have deadly consequences such as in engineering. In academic fields it is long term and generational with its repercussions, such as liberal arts disciplines, where the damage is decades later in the social, cultural, and political arenas.

stemcel classes are usually like 3-5 problems for a test and you have to show all work which can take up a whole page. The only real way to cheat would be if you got a copy of the exam in advance.

Homework is like 10% of the grade and working in a group on homework problems is normal. If you just blindly copied without understanding any of it then you would get wrecked on the exam anyways.

The guy in OP is talking about is some liberal arts **** or some class that focuses on memorization instead of problem solving or understanding. Those are pleb classes.

lmao calling someone a 'lightweight' in their future career

Bet you will be called a 'rockstar', 'fighter', or whatever corporate BS term to blow smoke up your ass while receiving a $10 plaque for your efforts that you will hang on your wall to remind you how awesome you are - all while living a meaningless life outside the office

The cheater found out how to get the same result you did at significantly less effort. That's the real test for how to succeed in life. He passed. You failed. You'll make a great worker bee though

i swore when i first read this it said found a way to get something "done".

but first of all, lets be serious. you wouldn't feel the need to cheat if you didn't feel inadequate. it also comes up with a nice dose of lying on your part, because youre going to have to keep up with the lying.

so add a nice little bit of stress for having to keep up with the lie

and i def. wouldn't say it's "getting something done". it's having someone else do the work for you or getting the work done because you feel inadequate

A Navy SEAL once told me, "if you're not cheating, you're not trying."
I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time; never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people. Thank you.

Srs question for those who cheated their way through college, there seem to be many here.

What was even the point of going to college (srs)? Why not just save the time and money and wait 4 years and just lie about having gone to school and graduated?

Maybe its industry dependent but that seems to be a very small minority of companies that do that. For the 1 in 100 companies that do that, just don't authorize it and apply somewhere else.

When you get out of college and work in an industry and happen to find a folder full of information about your top competitor, I hope you are smart enough to use that information for your company's benefit instead of childishly calling it "cheating" and passing on the opportunity. Almost all of what you are learning in college will be replaced with on-the-job knowledge and experience when you get a job.

brb Bill Gates "cheated" by buying out and bullying his competition
brb Steve Jobs "cheated" by marketing his crap to morons and selling them the same products every year with very little changes
brb Jeff Bezos "cheated" by paying off the government to restrict stores and make him be the only point of commerce

Knew a guy who cheated in Computer Science courses. Seriously despised this loser. He "early-withdrawed" some courses, failed some, think it took him 6 or 7 years to graduate with a Bachelor's, which he blamed on his family's pressure to do ROTC / army stuff after I confronted him about it (and by proxy having no time for studying/sleep allegedly).

He'd ask me to sit next to him during exams to copy, send him copies of my code, etc. Never did any of that BS. Did explain topics to him in a way he'd hopefully digest it and implement it himself though.

If you're cheating in college, you're essentially lying about your ability to learn and implement the material, which is the whole freaking point of obtaining a Bachelor's degree. You're trying to convey to employers that you have a certain level of competency!
