This guy did. Pretty impressed. Don´t think I would have the balls to do that even if I was a veteran sailor. Took him 27 days on a small sailboat. Mirin, it´s a freaking long distance. Some people are just built different.

You do realize some people sail around the world going from port to port of each country

I have a 30' sailboat. Thought about doing some long distance chit but no way I have time for it.
I use my other boats way more cuz it just takes too long to get anywhere.
Sailing is fun tho.

Zero sailing experience.

I don’t know how to sail or own a sailboat, so, no, I could not.
Now if I was taught how to sail, had enough practice and experience, had my own sailboat, and enough money that I could take that a year off of work, and pick up exactly where I left off. Then yes.

i used to work with a guy who did this often. he would sail from the bay area to hawaii and back at least once a year, and would sail to mexico several times a year. he eventually met himself a mexican chick and settled down and stopped sailing

Didn’t some 15 year old girl sail around the world by herself once? I might be wrong on some of those details but this is amateur hour compared to that.

No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

I'd die trying to get the boat into international waters.
Also not sure about being mentally prepared to see nothing but ocean for 27 days. That might drive me insane.

Alone? Hell no.
I once took a jet ski out too far into the pacific.. Buzzed and chasing waves I could jump. I then noticed that I went so far out I completely lost sight of any land or buildings. Nothing but water in the horizon all around me... I'll never forget that initial panic feeling that shot down my spine. Literally felt my heart sink. Luckily I turned around and 3 minutes later I saw the roof of some buildings start to appear.
Dude has balls of steel doing that.
