Genuinely confused as to how so many miscers have this complaint

Internet is far smaller and more limited than it was in the early 2000s. There were active, engaging forums about every niche thing imaginable. But everything has converged and become more centralized, and so much good chit has been lost forever.

It's funny because I use Instagram solely for one specific hobby and Twitter solely for a different specific hobby.

The only thing I post on instagram are pictures of my gardening stuff and everyone that I follow are fellow gardeners (some HBBs).

The only people I follow on Twitter are meteorologists and hurricane hunters/extreme weather chasers.

Gardening and weather are two major hobbies of mine, and I use social media solely for engaging and discussing those hobbies with other people with similar hobbies. If you don't think there are people out there with hobbies, that just means YOU have no hobbies because you're not going out looking for people with similar hobbies.

I fuarcking hate superhero movies. I tried to get into them and get caught up one time but then I started looking and saw there's like 30 of these phuking things. And somehow everyone knows literally every detail about every movie.

They keep pushing them out every year. They're decent to casually watch but people nerd the phuk out over them.
