Just tested positive for the Shanghai Shivers (rapid test). Literally no cold symptoms whatsoever, just an upset stomach. Feels like i just ate some gas station sushi or something.

Weird. Thinking about getting a conventional retest. ****kkk I just feel bad for possibly infecting the people I was around the last couple of days

I would get retested. I wouldnt think that a respiratory virus would manifest with gastrointestinal symptoms

Edit: IIRC, with the rapid test, it has a 70% false positive rate and only 30% of the people tested actually have it. I could be wrong though

The same test would only have a PPV of approximately 30% in a population with 1% prevalence, meaning 70 out of 100 positive results would be false positives. This means that, in a population with 1% prevalence, only 30% of individuals with positive test results actually have the disease.
